Cross Country
Cross
Country
The long wait to the start of a nerve racking run going up the school hill down the hill and repeat. Then there was the race. It was a tough and competitive race for the 10 & 11 years old. The race was off and going fast through the gate, around the farm, back and around the school. Later on I helped out with the little one’s. They did one lap around the school. I also did the last race, a team relay with Reuben & Cormac we came fifth.

Scary Slaters
The reason I chose slaters was because my name is slater and because I want to learn more about slaters. Our task was to write an imormation report about an insect from the frankley school bush.
Scary Slaters
Slaters are also called Woodlice , Roly Polys and Pill bugs. Slaters are many sizes.
Appearance
Diet
Slaters eat dead leaves sometimes eat seedling and root vegetables slaters take advantage to fallen fruit that other bugs have bit or birds have attacked.
Habitat
Slaters live around dirt, rotten logs, under rocks, piles of leaves and pot plants Slaters are scavengers and feed on decaying matter such as rotten wood and plants.
Did you know that Slaters are not actually insects? They are crustaceans and therefore are related to lobsters and crabs. They use gills to breathe however will drown if submerged in water.
